South Pond is a 60-acre culinary and special event destination nestled in the picturesque Bethany Hills of Southern Ontario. The restored barn, iconic silo, gardens, and farm kitchen are unique settings year-round for workshops, celebrations, off-site meetings, day-long retreats and more.

We are passionate about food, both growing it and cooking it. As a FeastOn member, we believe in real farm to plate experiences, with 80% of our prepared food coming from our farm and local area. Our menus flow with the seasons and are subject to the farm’s and seasons availability.

An intimate dinner in our kitchen featuring six courses and profiling seasonal, local produce, meats, cheese, bread. Beginning the evening by the fire and then move into the kitchen. Each course explained by our chef. Look over our shoulder to see how it’s prepared! This is a unique culinary experience.
Smoke and Cedar
$1050 up to 6 guests. Additional guests are $80.

Discover the beauty of our cedar grove and join us for a culinary adventure in the forest. Immerse yourself amongst the smells of the cedar boughs, the smoke from the burning campfires while you roll up your sleeves and learn to bake bread over an open flame. Let us take you back to the oldest way of cooking and our Canadian culinary heritage.
(Survival) Fort Building
July - April | $70/person | 6-20 guests.
Groups must use materials from nature – no hammers or nails allowed! Venture into our cedar grove and build an overnight survival shelter. Includes guided instruction and techniques for building a survival fort! Includes a guide, campfire, and hot (or cold) beverage. Fun for your group and a great experience in the forest at any time of year.
Sourdough Bread Baking
Oct - April | $85/person | Maximum 16 guest
In this workshop, you will experience baking sourdough bread from scratch using natural leavening and whole grain flours. You will create your own starter, learn how to score bread and bake bread in our oven. You will take home instructions and ingredients.
Cooking with Friends
Oct - April | $125/person | Maximum 16 guests
In this workshop the emphasis is on cooking for friends and family. Learn how to prepare a three course meal and enjoy it together. You will learn to compose the structure of a meal from scratch as well as simple cooking techniques: searing, braising, roasting, grilling and maintaining flavours with herbs, creating a simple side, finished with dessert or composing a cheese plate.
Seasonal Flower Arranging and Wreath Making
All Year | $85/person. 6-30 guests.
South Pond is known for our seasonal gardens and flower arranging. Make your own fall and seasonal holiday wreath or celebrate the summer with a beautiful arrangement with our garden flowers, branches, and other foliage. Gather supplies from our gardens to create a flower arrangement or seasonal wreath.. We supply everything you need.
We have great holiday ideas: workshops, cooking classes or join us for a Friday Night Supper. Or let us help curate your private holiday party! We offer beautiful and unique spaces here at the farm. Our farm kitchen is where all the cooking happens, the romance of the hoop house or the cedar grove and a camp fire. All you have to do is arrive - we take care of all the details from flowers and decor, a full course chef's table or simply cocktails.
